今回から巡業初参加の旭富士(伊勢ヶ濱部屋/東幕下11枚目)。
黒マワシを付けながらも関取衆申し合い稽古に特例で参加し、ぶつかり稽古では徹底的にシゴかれる。

**2026 Summer Grand Sumo Tour – Gifu Event**
Venue: Gifu Memorial Center Deai Dome, Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture
Asahifuji of Isegahama Stable, ranked East Makushita 11, joined the regional tour for the first time at this event.
Although he was still wearing a black mawashi, he was given special permission to take part in the sekitori practice bouts. During butsukari-geiko, he was put through an especially punishing training session.
Despite the exhaustion, he showed no signs of fatigue in his Makushita bout and easily pushed Otsuji out of the ring on the first day of his tour.

Glad Hoshoryu Yokozuna is not on tour.
I saw some old bouts of Hakuho and he was pretty amazing. Pity he let one of his rikishi be a bully and lost the stable. It is unclear why the JSA chose to wipe out the stable. So I learned why Enho is with Isegahama.
The top guys already acknowledge him as their equal

Is obvious everyone has such high expectations! I love how Kirishima, who Asahifuji has beaten In practice mind you, is offering him advice! I feel like when Hoshoryu lend him his chest as well, the Mongolian in Makuuchi already see a brother! The fact he did shiko even after all of that, back full of mud, shows off his incredible resolve!

実力はあるが
見た目からして人気がないのが旭富士
やっぱ関取相手にはまだまだ苦戦しそうだね
小兵には勝てても重量相手には押し負けてる
生田目戦でもそうだったけど、突き押し相手に対する稽古がまだまだ不足してる
豪ノ山相手でも全然通用してない
廻しとる稽古もいいけど、体格いいんだし突き押しも覚えていい
義ノ富士や 少し前の遠藤の様に、
突き押し力士を苦手にすると壁に当たりそうな感
そこを突き抜けると、
栃東や 若貴のお兄ちゃんの領域も
しごかれて泥だらけになって強くなる
未来の横綱、頑張れ！

流石。未来の横綱と期待されているだけありますね。
