山口駅と新山口駅を発着・通過する列車の1日の運行を比較したシミュレーションです。

山陽新幹線の停車駅である新山口駅と、山口市の中心駅である山口駅を行き交う列車の動きを、リアルタイムで可視化しています。

新山口駅は、山陽新幹線・山陽本線・山口線が接続する山口県の重要な交通拠点です。 一方、山口駅は山口市中心部に位置し、地域交通や観光の玄関口として利用されています。

名前はよく似ていますが、2つの駅には異なる役割があります。

本動画では、両駅を発着・通過する列車の流れを抽象的な動きとして表現し、山口県中央部の鉄道ネットワークを1日を通して可視化しています。

A full-day comparison of train traffic at Yamaguchi Station and Shin-Yamaguchi Station.

This simulation visualizes every train arriving at, departing from, or passing through two stations that share the name “Yamaguchi” but serve very different roles.

Shin-Yamaguchi Station is a major transportation hub connecting the Sanyo Shinkansen, Sanyo Main Line, and Yamaguchi Line. Yamaguchi Station is located in the city center and serves as the main gateway for local transportation and tourism.

Although the two stations have similar names, their functions within the railway network are quite different.

This video presents the flow of trains throughout the day as an abstract visualization of the railway network in central Yamaguchi Prefecture.
