世界中が注目しているニホンザルのパンチくんとは…2025年7月に生まれてすぐ母親に育児放棄されてしまった子ザルです。その後飼育員さんに人工哺育で育てられ、いつもIKEAのオランウータンのぬいぐるみ(通称オランママ)にしがみつきながら成長してきました。2026年1月に群れに戻されて、群れに馴染もうと毎日頑張っています。
Punch, the Japanese macaque who has captured the world’s attention, is a baby monkey born in July 2025 who was abandoned by his mother shortly after birth. He was then raised by zookeepers through artificial feeding, and has grown up always clinging to an IKEA orangutan plush toy (nicknamed “Orang-mama”). He was returned to the group in January 2026 and is working hard every day to fit in with the group.

ニホンザル(サル山)の観覧方法について
いつも市川市動植物園を応援いただき、ありがとうございます。
サル山での観覧方法につきまして、私たちはこれまで、ニホンザルへのストレス軽減を最優先に、そして次
に多くの方がお楽しみいただけることを意識しつつ、試行錯誤を繰り返し、観覧ルールを公式
X(@ichikawa_zoo)で呼びかけてまいりました。
その結果、多くの方々にルールが浸透し、守っていただけるようになりましたが、残念ながら守られていな
い場面も目にいたします。またルール違反の事案について、付近で目撃されたお客様より当園へご意見や苦
情をいただく機会が増えております。
ニホンザルに限らず、多くの動物（人間も含みます）は、騒音や走るなどの急な動作、長時間同じ人から視
線を受けるなどにより、脅威を感じます。そしてニホンザルのような群れで生活する動物は、一頭が感じた脅
威が群れ全体に伝播し、サル同士の喧嘩など重大な問題に発展する可能性があります。そうなればもちろん、
群れの中で立場の弱いパンチのような個体への影響は大きくなります。
このままルール違反の事案が増え続けば、私たちも観覧制限の更なる拡大、そしてニホンザルの観覧自体
を禁止せざるを得ないことをご理解いただきたいと考えます。
ここに改めて、サル山で観覧いただく際の注意事項・禁止事項をお伝えいたします。
・立入禁止ゾーン内へ立ち入らないでください。またバーを押したり乗ったりしないでください。
・最前列で観覧する方はかがんでください。最前列での観覧は１０分以内です。
・経過したら速やかに後列の方にお譲りください。 観覧中はご静粛にお願いします。
・サル山の外周を移動する場合は走らないでください。
・撮影で脚立・椅子・三脚・自撮り棒を使うことは禁止です。
・園内でのライブ配信行為は営利・非営利を問わず禁止です。
・サル山観察中の飼育員の業務に支障が出るため、長時間話したり撮影することはご遠慮ください。
・スタッフも巡回を行い、動物たちの負担にならないよう観覧者へのお声がけに努めています。
・皆様が公平に、また楽しくパンチやその他のニホンザル達を応援できますようご協力をお願いい　　たします。
