Is Luxury Private Night Bus Osaka to Tokyo worth more than Shinkansen? DREAM Relier

I traveled from Osaka to Tokyo on JR’s luxury private night bus “DREAM Relier(ドリームルリエ)”.

It costs 15,000 yen, which is more luxurious than the Shinkansen(bullet train). I reviewed whether it is worth using.

    1. Honestly, I would never take an overnight bus unless it was absolutely the only option, even it was as nice as the bus in "The Big Bus" movie.

I don't sleep well when commuting, so I would be very tired and sleepy by the time the bus arrived at its destination. And then Japanese hotels have a 3PM check-in that is almost always strictly enforced, so unless you wanted to pay for an extra day for just a few hours stay, you've got to find somewhere to stay until check-in, while still being tired and sleepy.

For me, it's much easier to just take a shinkansen that only takes 2 1/2 hours which you can do after a day of tourist activities, and still have time to check into a hotel and get dinner, or do so in the late morning and arrive, maybe have lunch first, and then check into your hotel.
